Description:  This is literally an ice box. Workers added ice by lifting the lid on the left. Food could be stored by opening the door on the right. The little spigot on the bottom was for ice water as the ice melted. I supplied a number of these cabs with ice and fuel for the stove when I worked the cab supply job for SCL.

Bell at the Wilmington Railroad Museum
Title:  Bell at the Wilmington Railroad Museum
Description:  According to a plaque under the bell, it was presented to the city of Wilmington in 1964 in commemoration of more than 100 years that Wilmington served as the general headquarters for the ACL and predecessor companies. The bell announced the departure of all passenger trains from the time it was erected in 1856 until the new station was built in 1963.
