Description:
5131 is headed east on the Charleston to Hamburg line a couple of miles east of the Elko, the nearest town. Much of this route including this location was abandoned in the late 1980s; not long after this photo was taken. What is left of the route at Aiken, SC is now operated by Aiken Railway. Even though this was a direct line from Augusta, Ga. to Charleston, SC., the traffic on this route was light.
